National Day of Prayer | Thursday, May 1
Join us for the National Day of Prayer on Thursday, May 1! Our Worship Center will be open from 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM for a come-and-go time of prayer. There will be no formal program or concert of prayer; simply enter through the main Worship Center entrance whenever you are able, find a quiet place, and spend time with the Lord. Whether you can stay for five minutes or for an hour, your prayers matter.
In addition to praying individually, you are encouraged to participate in other opportunities throughout the day:
- Citywide Gathering: Join fellow believers from across Oklahoma City for a time of prayer at the Oklahoma State Capitol, second floor rotunda, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM.
- National Broadcast: Watch the National Day of Prayer service online at nationaldayofprayer.org at 7:00 PM Central Time.
This year’s theme is “Pour Out to the God of Hope and Be Filled,” based on Romans 15:13:
“May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.”
As followers of Christ, prayer is not only a personal lifeline to God but also a vital practice for the health and unity of the church. Scripture reminds us to “pray without ceasing” (1 Thessalonians 5:17) and to “devote yourselves to prayer, being watchful and thankful” (Colossians 4:2). On this day, we unite our hearts in seeking God’s guidance, comfort, and hope for our lives, our church, our community, and our nation.
Come, pray, and be filled. We hope you will join us!
