Dear Metropolitan Bible Church Family,
In 2019, God led us to embrace a beautiful mission: “Loving our ever-changing world with never-changing truth and grace.” This vision reminds us that while seasons may shift, our Lord’s faithfulness remains constant. Just as the seasons of nature bring both renewal and change, I’m writing to share news of a new season in our church’s journey together.
With a heart full of gratitude and deep appreciation, I want to share that I will be concluding my season as your senior pastor on January 5, 2025. This decision comes after extended prayer and reflection. While this news may come as a surprise, I’m confident that God is already preparing the next chapter in Metropolitan’s story.
The Lord has opened an exciting door for me to join Search National, a ministry dedicated to engaging with those seeking answers about faith. Through prayer and counsel from trusted mentors, I’ve witnessed God’s hand clearly directing this path. My heart is filled with anticipation for this new calling, and I would be deeply honored to have your prayers and blessing as I follow this new direction.
Remember that Metropolitan Bible Church belongs to Christ first and foremost. He has blessed us with incredible elders and staff whose hearts beat for our mission. They will guide us through this transition with wisdom and grace, and I’ll be available to walk alongside them every step of the way. In the coming weeks, we’ll have many opportunities to gather, share, and pray together about this transition.
These past six years have been a treasure. You’ve welcomed my family with open arms, supported us through every season, and blessed us with friendships that will last a lifetime. Watching God work through this congregation has filled my heart with joy. You’ve taught me so much about faith, community, and the power of God’s love in action.
As we navigate this transition together, I’m reminded of Jesus’ promise to Peter: “I will build my church, and the gates of Hades will not prevail against it” (Matthew 16:18). I believe God has wonderful plans for Metropolitan, and I’m excited to see how He will continue to use this church to transform lives and share His love.
With deep love and gratitude in Christ,
John Frawley
